Rehabilitation strength sessions led by your Physiotherapist
What are Physio-led exercise sessions?
Our rehabilitation and strength sessions are structured, exercise-based treatments led by an experienced physiotherapist. These sessions are similar to what would be conducted by an Exercise Physiologists but also designed to guide you safely through your recovery, whether you are returning from injury, managing ongoing pain, or improving overall function.
Each session is tailored to your specific condition, goals, and current capacity. Rather than following a generic program, your physiotherapist will adjust your exercises in real time to ensure optimal progression and technique. These sessions take place in our on-site rehab gym. Please mention you would like a rehab session when booking. These sessions are charged as usual Physiotherapy Sessions.

FAQ
How does strength training help prevent injuries?
Strength training is one of the most effective ways to reduce injury risk. Research shows that consistent strength exercise can reduce sports injuries by up to 66% and overuse injuries by around 50%. By improving muscle strength, joint stability, and movement control, your body is better equipped to handle physical demands and avoid strain or overload.
Why is supervised rehabilitation important for injury recovery?
Supervised, physiotherapist-led rehabilitation ensures exercises are performed with correct technique and progressed safely. Studies have shown that structured rehab programs significantly improve outcomes and reduce reinjury rates compared to unsupervised exercise. Ongoing clinical guidance allows for early correction of movement patterns and appropriate loading, which are key factors in successful recovery.
Can exercise help manage long-term or recurring injuries?
Yes—targeted exercise is a cornerstone of managing persistent or recurring injuries. Research shows that progressive strength and conditioning programs can significantly reduce pain and improve function in conditions such as tendinopathy, lower back pain, and joint injuries. Building strength and resilience in affected areas helps reduce flare-ups and supports long-term recovery, rather than relying on short-term symptom relief alone.
